I think it’s fair to say that entrepreneurs get a bad rap.
Just stop and think about it for a minute. What are some of the words or images that come to your mind when you think of an entrepreneur? For a lot of people, I’m sorry to say, the answer is going to be someone who is ambitious, possibly to a fault—that is to say, someone greedy. An entrepreneur, in some folks’ eyes, is basically someone who is out to advance his own, personal wealth and attain his own, personal success.
Nothing wrong with that, of course, but if that’s your only impression of business ownership, you’ve got a seriously skewed take on what it’s all about.
For evidence of just how different entrepreneurship can be, just look to Sy Schlager .
To be sure, Sy Schlager is a businessman. Actually, he’s the president of his own company, an outfit called Therapeutic Window. And that’s not the only hat Sy Schlager wears at the company. He’s also its chief medical officer. And, he’s its head content developer.
But Sy Schlager is hardly in it just to advance his own agenda. Actually, Therapeutic Window is a company that exists to provide a much-needed (and much-appreciated) service to others—in particular, to medical professionals. The bulk of what the company does is in creating educational materials that doctors can use to stay abreast of what’s going on in the field—and to stay up to speed on their own licensure and certification requirements.
You can just imagine how little time a busy medical professional has for stuff like this. That’s why it’s such a thrill to know that men like Sy Schlager are out there making it a little easier on them.
This site will explore, in further detail, some of what Sy Schlager does, and what makes him and his company so special. We’ll see what a boon this service really is to the medical community—and how fortunate we all are that Sy Schlager is doing what he’s doing.
